Julia starts this letter talking about how glad she is that her and Julia can speak more informally with each other. She mentions she was glad that a reference to a Mr. S. C. Guyther from Hatsboro was found in a church booklet. Julia felt there was a chance that it could clear up some confusion on some colonial branches. She had sent the man a letter but it came back unclaimed and returned.
Julia mentions two sisters named Mary Ann and Maria Catherine Guyther who were the only children of George Guyther. George was the eldest son of Julia's great-grandfather, William Guyther. She concurs that Ann Cole Guyther is her great-grandmother. She changes topic to the Colonial Dames and the D.A.R..
Through a bit of investigating into English Guyther history she learned Gywdir was the Welsh pronunciation of Guyther. She brings up the Coppages again and hopes that Hope could continue to find more information about them.
