This is a letter that covers topics such as the Cole family and the Gwynn family. Minnie had originally asked for information on both the Coles and Violetta Gwynn in particular. According to Julia, Violetta Gwynn was the mother of their great-grandmother Ann Cole Guyther. The Gwynns were not from St. Mary's County both could be found in both Prince George's County, Charles County, Talbot County and Queen Ann's County. Violetta herself was from Charles County and she was married to Thomas Hungerford on November 17th, 1778. Julia says that the earliest mention of a Gwynn could be traced to an Anne Gwynn, daughter of Christopher and Susanna Gwynn. Anne was born on July 27th, 1692. She says it's likely that Violetta was descended from this Anne Gwynn. Violetta may have had a borther named John. These Gwynn's apparently married into the Leigh family.
