Description

For this letter Julia begins with thanking Minnie for a photo of Poplar Hill Church. She was also delighted to know that a photo of their great-grandmother picture was still around. A cousin Mollie also gave Julia the family bible. Minnie was able to send a list of their Aunt Nellie's descendants too. Julia says that she was surprised to learn that "Cousin Billie" had the name of William Henry Waughop. Since his father's name is William W. Guyther she wonders if the name came from his father's side or his mother's. She then goes on to talk about her father and how he told her some stories from the war. Her father served in Ewell's Corps - Stonewall Jackson Brigade before being transferred to Stuart's Cavalry and lastly he was transferred to Maryland Line with General Early. MInnie told Julia that she had found two photos of William Guyther's house.
