Description

A letter Mrs. Henry sent Hope regarding family matters. She mentions she is excited to know Hope is gathering data on the smaller, rather unknown branches. The subject of various marriages is brought up along with Hope's brother joining the coast guard. Mrs. Henry talks about working on Hope's D.A.R. application and apologizes for not sending it back sooner. One of the hang ups she was having with the application was figuring out Ann Cole Guyther's birth year. She recalls Myrtle Moore going to a cemetery that had Guythers and how one of the gravestones was for a "Ann, Wife of William". She says she feels like that is likely Ann Cole Guyther despite how weather-worn the headstone likely is. The gravestone read her year of death as 1817 but Mrs. Henry feels like the age of the headstone makes it hard to read the dates. She tells Hope that Ann died in 1847.
