Letter from Mrs. James W. Keady to HopeEntry/Object ID
2014.013.0049Description
This is a letter that Mrs. James W. Keady had sent Hope Grace in the late 70s. She wanted to ask Hope about information pertaining to Nicholas Guyther who had lived in Charles County around the late 1600s to the early 1700s. She was asking Hope about it because Christy Robin's wife had been working with the Charles County Bicentennial Commission and they had found an old English Country type frame house. It had been originally built near Nanjemoy, and had been bought fifteen to twenty years ago with it later being disassembled and placed in someone's barn. The Bicentennial Commission hoped to reconstruct it on the grounds of the Charles County Community College. She also wanted to learn more about its history if Hope happened to know anything. The front of the envelope is included with the letter.Collection
