Letter from William G. Gwyther to JuliaEntry/Object ID
2014.013.0197Description
This is a response letter to the one Julia had sent William in regards to family information. In it he makes it known that he doesn't know a whole lot but does recall some of the family legends. Over in England the Gwythers have always known that their family was an ancient one with ties to Wales. He does mention that their family name is recorded in an ancient Welsh record called the "Mabinogion". William also brings up the Gwydyrs of Llanrwst as well. Towards the end he mentions there is another Gwyther that is very interested in genealogical research that would likely want to correspond with Julia. Unfortunately no exact first name is given other than the fact that they live in Ludlow, England.Collection
