The Federal Public Housing Authority used this dwelling lease for Army and Navy enlisted and civilian personnel and industrial workers who wanted to live in Lexington Manor in Lexington Park. Iris and Joseph B. Adam, in the presence of Stephen M. Bojanowski, Housing Manager, signed a lease for a 4 room and bath unit at #21 Coral Place at a rent of $39.25/month. The occupancy could continue indefinitely on a month to month basis. A small piece of paper was stapled on to the back of the contract saying that the resident had to be a war worker of some kind or he had to leave. Each person initialed the small sheet.
I think the second form means that Mr. Adam was entitled to eat food on the base at the rate of $.65/day. He asked for and received permission to eat all his meals at home.Collection
