3 7/8"h x 2 5/16"w sepia tone photo of Lillia Josepha Dent and Joseph Hugh Dent. They lived in Atlanta, Georgia. He was seated and she rested her hands on his right shoulder. She appeared to be 10-12 years old and he was probably in his middle thirties. She had brown hair pulled back tightly off her face. She had on a dress of what appeared to be heavy fabric with a high dark velvet collar and velvet bands from each shoulder down the front and back of the garment. There was a strange pleating arrangement at the bottom of the garment and there may have been a sort of bustle in the back. There was also a tightly pleated underskirt, but it is barely visible. She had on some kind of light colored tie and a heavily fringed dark tie as well. She was not smiling. Mr. Dent had on a dark suit with wide lapels and a vest. His shirt was nearly obscured by his full beard and mustache. His dark hair was quite curly. He had beefy fingers. At the bottom of the card: "Motes Atlanta, Ga." ************************************ Text on verso: in blue fountain ink "Joseph H. Dent and daughter Lillia" and the logo on the board in brown "CWM C. W. Motes No. 32 White Hall Street Atlanta, Ga."
