3 3/8"h x 4 1/2"w black and white photo of the teacher and her students at the little red schoolhouse on April 17,1906. The teacher, Dora Harrison, was surrounded by eleven girls and five boys. As was typical, a small boy sat cross-legged on the ground holding a small chalkboard that said "School #1 District #5 Apr. 17, 1906." Miss Harrison had dark hair piled up high and wore a striped shirtwaist with a high collar. She had a long lanyard around her neck, perhaps for keys. Most of the children were solemn. The building behind them was dark clapboard with a single door.
