7 5/8"h x 11 1/4"w black and white photographic reproduction on foam core board. This was an old photo of Locke Hill Road looking toward the Three Notch Road in a commercial district of Mechanicsville. On the left were two stores and at the end of the street was probably Hotel Burroughs. Past a small tree was a small board and batten building with a bell tower--either a church or a school. On the right was a considerable length of wooden fence. Dr. Guyther used this image in an early presentation on the northern part of the county.
