3 1/2" x 5 3/4" black and white photo of Locust Hill in Port Tobacco in Charles County. This view shows the front of the story and a half house. The house has a gambrel roof with cedar shakes in poor condition. There are two dormers with six-over-six lights. There is a closed end shed roof over the porch, which has four bays. The door into the house is on the left and there are two windows with dark shutters to the right. The porch floor is supported on brick columns painted white; there are four steps up to the porch. There is a very simple railing around the porch. The wall of the house under the porch roof, the posts, the railing, and the brick supports are all painted white. The underside of the porch is open. The left end of the building is clapboard. Two windows on each floor are barely visible. There may be a circular vent in the peak. A very small gable-roofed building butts up against the gable end of the house near the porch. One large chimney is on the gable end to the right halfway between the roof peak and the first eave.
