Lodge on Jutland Farm 2Entry/Object ID
1995.001.2271Description
3 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w black and white photo of The Lodge, which was on the Jutland Farm property. It was a two story gable roofed brick house with a lower two story clapboard addition at the far gable end. In this view of the back of the house, there was an outside end brick chimney on the near gable end. No windows were visible on the wall. The brick work suggested that the roofline may have been changed from a gambrel roof to a gable roof. On the second floor there were probably three double hung windows, but only two were visible. The center window may have had shutters, but the others did not. On the first floor, a center door was barely visible and there was a window on the right. In the clapboard addition, one window was visible. The oil tank was on an elevated support. The house was surrounded by a white picket fence. Each picket had a diamond shape on the top, so the fence looked like hundreds of lighted candles.
