Lodge on Jutland Farm 3Entry/Object ID
1995.001.2272Description
3 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w black and white photo of The Lodge, which was on the Jutland Farm property. It was a two story gable roofed brick house. In this view of the front of the house, there was an outside end brick chimney on the left gable end. On the second floor there were probably three double hung windows, but only two were visible. On the first floor, there was a deep three bay porch with a hipped roof. It was four steps above the ground, supported on blocks, and open underneath. A large four over four double hung window was on the left side of the porch. In the center was a door with an interesting support pattern for the screening. On the right was another four over four double hung window. There were chairs, a table, and a sofa on the porch. There were two white Adirondack chairs on the lawn. The house was surrounded by a white picket fence. On the far right edge of the photo, one can see one edge of the gate. Each picket had a diamond shape on the top, so the fence looked like hundreds of lighted candles.
