Lothair Station 2Entry/Object ID
2019.009.0038Description
8"h x 10"w black and white photo of the Lothair railroad station. The station was a smallish board and batten building with a gable roof and two vent stacks on the peak. On the long side of the rectangle, there was a full length porch seven steps from the ground. There is no railing, so maybe freight was slid across the porch and into a waiting car. There was a door barely visible at the corner of the building by the steps. The station name board was on the gable end of the building by the aforementioned by the corner. There was a single shuttered six over six window in the gable end. Two small signs stuck out from the corner of the building toward the road, but the text was not legible. A power pole was right next to the stairs. One car was in front of the gable end of the building and a freight car was on the right edge of the photo. An Esso gas station was across the road. Judging by the weeds between the tracks, the station was not heavily used.
