November 17, 1897 Certificate from the Maryland Governor and Secretary of State certifying Benedict B. Love's election as Sheriff of St. Mary's County on November 2, 1897. There is a 3 7/8" red, heavily embossed state seal in the lower left corner.
April 4, 1914 Certificate from the Maryland Governor and Secretary of State certifying Benedict B. Love as a Supervisor of Elections from May 1914 to May 1916
June 12, 1944 Certificate from the Maryland Governor and Secretary of State certifying B. B. Love as a substitute minority member of the Board of Supervisors of Elections to fill out a term for a year.
