October 12, 1788 Deed for part of Bachelor's Rest from James and Henrietta Fenwick to Joshua Graves. Scanned as an example. 2. December 21, 1830 Deed of James Thomas for part of Bachelor's Rest to John T. Graves and Lewis Graves 3. June 11, 1833 James Thomas deed to James Dunbar for Graves Swamp 4. May 25, 1838 Deed of James and Eliza Thomas to John T. Graves for part of Bachelor's Rest, Room, and Graves Swamp 5. February 24, 1841 Letter from Benedict I. Heard to Lewis Graves with Heard's opinion on how best to ascertain land boundaries since the Saint Mary's Courthouse burned. Heard references an enclosed paper, but it is not with this piece. An attempt at a transcription is with the piece. 6. June 9, 1857 Agreement between Lewis Graves and James M. Russell dividing John Saxton's land between them with Lewis Graves paying $700 and James M. Russell paying $800. 7. August 23, 1859 Deed of James M. and Mary Ann M. Russell to Louis Graves for Bachelor's Rest [see Box 2] 8. September 2, 1864 Aquilla Burroughs sold 35 acres of Graves Swamp to five Graves men and Mrs. Fowler sold them a small plot to straighten out the lot line [see Box 2] 9. December 18, 1872 Letter from D.C. Hammett instructing Mary F. Maryman and her husband to have their signatures witnessed by the State Land Commissioner or a Justice of the Peace, after which Ellen Graves would send the money for the unnamed land 10. March 27, 1875 Deed of Mary L. Boothe to Ellen E. Graves for 35 acres called Part Hopton Park 11. May 24, 1875 Deed of Ellen E. Graves to her six children for Part Hopton Park, but reserving a life estate for herself 12. December 29, 1877 Deed of Louis Ford Graves and Ellen L. Graves to Simon P. Graves for Bachelor's Rest 13. March 5, 1880 Ann P. Higgs deeded her interest in Part Hopton Park to Ellen E. Graves for $300. [See Box 2]
