3 1/2"h x 3 7/16"w postcard with a horizontal orientation. The black and white image is 4 15/16"w and 3 1/4"h, leaving a small space at the bottom and right side for the title. The viewer was standing on the grounds of the nearby church, with a metal wire fence between. The building had two above ground stories and one partially below ground story with a large central porch and dormitory wings on each side. Large chimneys were visible on the roof on the left side of the porch. The porch was six steps above the ground, with brick knee walls on each side, centrally located. The porch had six square pillars supporting a plain triangular pediment. There was access to the porch from each floor and railings between the posts. There was a circular drive covered crushed white stone or oyster shells. The verso was the usual center line division with the left for correspondence and the right for an address, neither of which had been used. In the upper left corner was the eagle, shield, arrows, and olive branch all in brown ink. The card had not been posted.Collection
