This is a photograph of Margaret Brent High School early in its existence. The photographer stood at some distance from the building trying to get it all in the frame. He was not successful. The inset door is covered by an entry with a round arch with a large pillar in high relief on each side. On the right of the entry was a single wide nine over nine window, a single narrow six over nine window, a group of four nine over nine windows, another such group, and another such group. To the left of the entry was a single wide nine over nine window, a single narrow six over nine window, a group of four nine over nine windows, and another such group, partly obscured by a tree. It was reasonable to assume there was another group of nine over nine windows on the far left of the building. A large chimney rose above the back of the building just to the left of the entry. A few spindly trees also were behind the building. The brick is dark with light trim accents. This photo may have been taken by George Morgan Knight, Jr.
