Marriage license issued by Enoch B. Abell, clerk of the Circuit Court for Saint Mary's County, Maryland to William Compton Pembroke of Grafton, West Virginia and Mary Davis Hall of Saint Mary's County on April 22, 1921. The clerk's fee for service was $2.00. All the information in the blanks is handwritten. The information on the form is framed with a nice border of leaves and berries that suggests holly. There is a place for a minister to sign on the lower left edge. There are two embossed seals in the lower left quadrant: one for the Comptroller's Office and one for the Circuit court. The seal for the court is easy to read, but the one for the Comptroller is very faint.Collection
