10 15/16"w x 6 7/8"h Marriage license issued by J. M. Mattingly, clerk of the Circuit Court for Saint Mary's County, Maryland to Charles A. Merchant of Washington, D.C. and Naomi R. Bowles [?] of Washington, D.C. on July 28, 1924. The clerk's fee for service was $2.00. All the information in the blanks is handwritten. The information on the form is framed with two parallel straight lines 1/16" apart; the outer line is heavier than the inner line. The number on the form is 3-103. There is a place for a minister to sign on the lower left edge. The seal for the Circuit Court is in the open space in the lower left corner and the seal for the Comptroller seems to be absent.
