Black and white photograph of a woman, Mary Genevieve Wathen, standing outside in front of trees, there are two buildings in the background. She is clasping her hands in front of her abdomen and appears to be in her twenties. Her hairstyle may resemble one from the 1940s. Her hair is light in color and is fashioned in such a way that there are four or five ringlets on the crown of her head, a large, light-colored bow at the back of her hair (slightly visible from the front) and the remainder of her hair is worn down. Her long-sleeved blouse has slightly-puffy sleeves with a tighter band ending around her wrists. The blouse appears to be striped (possibly gray in color), with a white, laced collar, and four dark-colored buttons down the front. She is wearing a skirt (although the lower part of her garment does not show in the photograph). The garment is dark in color, has buttons down the front, a wide belt, and comes up to her ribs.
