1 folder ; 11 3/4" x 9 1/2" In this folder are several photocopied pages from the Maryland Directory of 1880. It was a business oriented directory. The early pages for Saint Mary's County described the land and its advantages followed by a list of government representatives, the post offices and wharves in the county. Each page on the left had advertising, some local, but mostly Baltimore. The descriptions of settlements emphasized soil types, crop yields, land prices, churches and schools, and a list of local businesses. There were three pages of the names of farmers organized by post office address.
