This material contains information and correspondence relative to Mr. Beitzell's service as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Trust. Errors in an inventory of Saint Mary's County historic sites continued to be an issue. West Saint Mary's Manor, across the river from Saint Mary's City was deeded to Colonial Williamsburg, Inc. The corporation needed to sell it, so frantic efforts to preserve the land as a "scenic easement" began. Several more county properties were added to the National Register of Historic Places. There is also correspondence about the St. Mary's County Historical Society's ownership of Cecil's Mill.Collection
