Description

8"h x 10 5/8"w black and white photocopy of a photo. There is no date for the photo. This shows the support for the ledger stone of Matilda Thomas Forbes vault. The ledger stone has been moved aside and the very rough surface of the support is exposed. There are two courses of brick in the support, but the whole appears to be resting on the ground. The corner brick next to the ground is completely loose and mortar is missing from other joints. There is a sort of "frame" of stones or bricks sunk in the ground around the support. The vault is very short; it would not appear to accomodate an adult. This is at the cemetery at Deep Falls. ********************************** Text on verso: none
