Description

10 5/8"h x 8"w black and white photocopy of a photo. There is no date for the photo. This shows the ledger stone of Matilda Thomas Forbes. The ledger stone has quite a bit of staining over the lower three-quarters of the stone and this photo is the "before" picture. The stone is not nearly as large as the neighboring vaults. In an indentation at the top is a carving of a large willow tree in the center, an obelisk on the right, and some sort of flowering bush on the left, with a flower broken off and lying on the edge of the indentation. The text is only partly legible, enough to know Matilda Thomas was a daughter. This is at the cemetery at Deep Falls. ********************************** Text on verso: none
