Mattingly house 4Entry/Object ID
1995.001.1840Description
Gable end and rear view of the Mattingly house in Compton. The house was a story and a half, a light color with a darker color outlining the fenestration. There were two large chimneys on the gable end. There was a large window visible between the chimney stacks on the second floor. There was a ten light French door and a regular entry door between the chimneys on the first floor. To the right of the chimney was a fifteen light window or French door. One window is visible on the right side of the back of the house and there is probably a similar window on the left, but it is obscured by a tree. There was a picket fence around the yard.
