5"h x 7"w and an 8" x 10" copy of a black and white photo of students at Mechanicsville Elementary School in an unknown year. It is likely the 19teens or early 1920s. The roughly forty-eight students and two teachers are assembled in the L of the school building. There was a four panel door with a transom window behind the group. On the right were two large six over six double hung windows with dark shutters. A similar window was partially visible on the left. Everyone had on either a coat or a sweater, so it must have been a chilly day. Sadly, there is no identification sheet with this photo. The enlargement is rather foggy; the smaller version is much sharper.
