1 folder ; 14 3/4" x 9 1/2" but most of the sheets are 11" x 17" In the Civil War, John P. Watts was a private in the 7th United States Colored Infantry, enlisting on October 22, 1863. He mustered out on October 13, 1866 in Norfolk, Virginia, but also appears on a muster-out roll of October, 1866 in Indianola, Texas. Scott Lawrence later applied for a standard Veterans' Administration headstone for Mr. Watts.
