Name/Title
Moore's Hotel in LeonardtownEntry/Object ID
1995.001.1793Description
This is a copy of a photograph--the original was in terrible condition. There was a substantial crowd arrayed on the stairs to the hotel: men, women, and children. There appeared to be a young African-American woman leaning against the post at the head of the stairs on the right. It was probably summer time because the men had straw hats. There appeared to be a generous porch at the top of the wide staircase. A message board was on the wall behind the group, as well as two six over six windows with dark shutters. There was a door on the right with a nine-light window above the knob.
