3 1/2"h x 3 1/8"w black and white photo of Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Laurel Grove which was built in 1914. The L-shaped building has its steeple and entry door in the corner of the L. A wide gable end faces front. There is one tall rounded arch window flanked by lower rounded arch windows in the triangle formed by the roof and three tall narrow windows on the first floor. These windows appear to be leaded glass. There are two four light windows in the basement. Six steps lead to the front door at the base of the steeple. There is a tall narrow window on the left, one in the right wall of the steeple, and one or more visible in the other leg of the L. There is some sort of addition on that wall. Once the steeple clears the roof line, it begins to taper toward the bell tower. The bell tower is open on all four sides and then the pyramid roof, with a generous overhang, climbs quite high. There is probably a cross on top. There is a small brick chimney on the left side of the building. The church yard is fenced off from the parking lot.
