On Mr. Briscoe's 75th birthday, friends presented him with a lovely signed hand-lettered proclamation with a flower border. It was framed in carefully chosen matte board and is still in very good condition.
"A few friends, cake, pictures all seem so humble at a time such as this, 'your occasion.' This building cannot hold the people you have helped and will continue to help. We have no means to fully express our thanks for your friendship and what you have done for us and St. Mary's County, but we do have the honor to be with you tonight and trust in God, that He will let us have you for many years to come, Mr. St. Mary's County."Collection
