Scope and Content

The scrapbook 15"h x 12"w x 2" thick was found in a box in the front basement in 2019. It is in terrible condition. The front cover is very elaborate. The pages are the typical heavy manila paper, very brittle and brown. The majority of the book is news clippings from the Sun and a few from the Beacon. The clippings are not often relevant to St. Mary's County--just news items that caught Ms. Dent's attention. There are entire issues of the Sun loose at the beginning. There are items from the late 1880s to the 1950s.
