Black and white photograph 3 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w of the interior of Newtown Manor house. This imposing building was a Jesuit residence for many years. This view is confusing. This may be on a third floor or in an attic. There is paneling on a slope at the left. There is raw woodwork on a doorway and holes in the sloping plaster ceiling expose lath. There is a railing in the center of the picture, but there is not a staircase next to it unless a rectangle against the wall has been lifted from a small hole in the floor that is a stairway. Everything is dirty.
