Black and white photograph 3 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w of the interior of Newtown Manor house. This imposing building was a Jesuit residence for many years. This view is of the hallway on the second floor--stairs go down and stairs go up. The camera is pointed toward the large window that is over the front porch. A very dark window shade is pulled down about halfway. The wall around the window and the visible ceiling appear to be in poor condition. The floor appears to be hardwood. The stair railing is painted, with a medium color for the railing and end post and white for the supporting posts. The railing on the stair to the upper floor appears to be darker, but that may not be true. There is paneling on the side of the stairs going down.
