Black and white photograph 3 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w of the interior of Newtown Manor house. This imposing building was a Jesuit residence for many years. This view is of the hallway on the second floor--stairs go down and stairs go up. The camera is pointed at the stairs to the upper floor. The stair railing on the right is painted, with a medium color for the railing and end post and white for the supporting posts. The railing on the stair to the upper floor has only its lower post painted; the rest of the railing awaits attention. The stair treads and risers need cleaning and painting. The wall next to the stairs is not in good condition. There is paneling just visible on the side of the stairs going down. There is a deep doorway at the head of those stairs.
