Description

Black and white 3 1/2"h x 5 3/4"w photo of the officers of the Leonardtown chapter of Modern Woodmen of America. The gentleman standing on the left with his hand on his friend's shoulder has on a dark suit and a light shirt. If he is wearing a tie, it is too light to show in the picture. There is a watch chain visible on the front of his coat and a small round pin in his lapel. The man seated next to him has on a dark suit also. He is wearing a light shirt with a dark necktie. Since his legs are crossed, his shiny shoes are visible. He, too, has a small pin in his lapel. The man standing in the center has on a light colored jacket and slacks and a light colored vest. He is wearing a dark tie. He is holding papers in his right hand. The man seated next to him has on a medium colored suit, a light colored shirt and tie. He appears to be younger than the others. The man standing on the right has on a dark coat, medium colored trousers, a light shirt and a dark bow tie. Text on the page, provided by Mr. Fenwick: "First officers of the Leonardtown chapter Modern Woodmem [sic] of America Clark Abell--Clerk, Alfred Saunders--Treasurer, Charles V. Hayden--Consul, Norman Long--member, Stanley Johnston--member." Presumably these names follow left to right on the photo, but it does not specify. ******************************************* Text on verso: "Picture 281. Officers of Modern Woodmen of America" This photo was on page 91 in Binder 2.
