Black and white photograph 3 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w of an old story and a half house near Compton. This view is of one gable end with a pair of outside end chimneys. The roof slope includes a screened porch on the far long side. Between the chimney stacks on the upper story are two tall windows. The woodwork is painted in a contrasting color to outline the windows. On the first floor there is a door to the narrow end of the porch, a window and a door between the chimneys and a fifteen light window on the near corner. One other window is just visible on another corner of the house. All the openings are outlined in a contrasting color. A picket fence is between the camera and the house. There are many trees, shrubs, and tall grass.
