3 1/2"h x 5 3/4"w sepia tone photo of Eva Purcell. Mr. Knight sent two articles to a newspaper about this 15 year old who, as a high school freshman, had won a spelling bee, and as a senior, was elected secretary/treasurer of her class. There were originally two photos of Miss Purcell, but only one remains. In this photo, she is standing next to a four door automobile with its front passenger door open. Eva had on a light colored patterned dress and a belted jacket over that. The jacket had a large drapey collar. She may have had on suede shoes and white hose. Her hair came just below her ears, was parted on her left and waved close to her head.
