Description

This is an enlargement of a photo by George Morgan Knight, Jr. of the Original Floating Theater at the Leonardtown Wharf. One of the tugs is at the stern of the barge keeping it snugged up against the pier. The view is across a considerable expanse of water so that the entire side of the barge is visible. Because this is an enlargement, the photo is indistinct. There is a photocopy of the verso of the original photo with Mr. Knight's "taken by" stamp on it and notes by Robert Haskins, "This is 2nd James Adams Floating Theatre (Showboat) built after 1st boat sank Leonardtown wharf Robert L. Haskins P.O. Box #44 Dameron, Md 20628 872-5183"
