Original Floating Theater 8Entry/Object ID
1994.001.0051Description
This is a photo of the Original Floating Theater at a pier in Leonardtown. There are automobiles in the foreground, a small expanse of water, a small boat, a tug boat, and then the barge with the theater. One man and two women were standing on the roof of the theater. There were several vent stacks, an aerial, and a small pilot house on the roof also. An arrangement of guy wires went from pylons on the roof down to the gunwales of the barge. Two men were standing on the lower level on a covered porch. This is an enlargement of a smaller photo at 1994.001.0017, so it is a little indistinct. Mr. Gough believed this photo showed the last time the theater came to the Leonardtown waterfront.
