Mr. Knight lived as a child in Petersburg, Virginia, but returned to Leonardtown, Maryland with his parents as a young man. He was a writer. There are samples of his fiction and newspaper stories, as well as records of his attempts as a publisher of books and songs--his own and those of others. His interest in the history of Saint Mary's County resulted in many news accounts and a full-length book--the papers have samples of his public relations campaign on the book's behalf. Most of the photographs are of Saint Mary's County people and scenes.Collection
