Envelope for Ladies' Home Journal pattern 5079 for a ladies' one-piece overwaist. The pattern was made by the Home Pattern Co. of New York City. This pattern is for a size 36 and cost 10 cents. On one cover is a drawing of the finished garment, front and back, and on the verso, a drawing of the pattern pieces and a list of the meaning of all the marks on the pattern. This chart, called a Guide-Chart, was patented August 15, 1905. The envelope is 9" high x 5" wide. It is a light brown color. None of the pattern pieces are here.
Photocopy with nine sheets of directions for Vogue pattern 6456 for a blouse with long or three-quarter sleeves, this being the choice of the wearer. There is no date on this pattern, nor are there any pieces.
Pattern pieces and a descriptive sheet 8 1/8"h x 4 1/2"w for Butterick pattern 3296 for a ladies' yoke wrapper with box pleated front, Watteau back and fitted body lining. The wrapper was meant to be made with a slight sweep. All of the instructions are on one side of this small sheet which is pasted onto one of the pattern pieces. Pattern pieces are on the usual tissue weight paper, but there is no printing on the pieces. Small round holes indicate the seam line and the number and sometimes the name of the piece is punched through the paper. Not surprisingly, the paper has browned on the edges and has several tears. There is no date on the pattern.Collection
