Black and white photograph 3 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w of the story and a half Payne house near Morganza. This view shows the main building and a small addition on one gable end. Each portion of the building has a gable roof. The addition has a six over six window centered in the gable end, with an access panel above it in the roof peak. There are two steps up to a screen door on the long wall and another six over six window.
In the main building to the right of the outside end chimney near the roof peak is a two over two window. Two windows and a door are visible on the four bay porch. There is a bench on the porch and a small child. The porch appears to be supported on piles of rocks. Two dogs look hopefull outside the door of the addition. One person is standing at the back corner of the addition and other people are gathered near the car parked in front of the house.
