Description

MISSING Black and white 7"h x 10"w photo of the little community of Pearson taken before the Patuxent River Naval Air Station was built. I do not know the compass points of the photo, but I think the camera may be pointing south. The road on which the photographer is standing is paved. There are power poles on each side of the road. On the left is a large building with three visible windows and a porch that looks like a school or a community hall. Beyond that is probably a store, likely Millison's store. There are two large signs on the store. The part of the building closest to the road has two stories. On the right is an Esso gas station with additions to the building and small outbuildings. Behind that is a two story house with a full length enclosed porch. Beyond the gas station is another light colored building with an outside chimney that goes right through the peak of the gable roof. There are automobiles visible on each side of the road. ********************************** Text on verso: handwritten in blue ball point "Pearson, Maryland"
