Perfume bottle with stopperEntry/Object ID
2014.018.0008Description
4" (including lid) clear glass perfume bottle with tiny gold leaves and squiggles on the faces. There are eight faces on the tapered glass jar. The bottom is flat and polished with notches at the end of each face. The cap is probably brass and is badly corroded. It rotates back on a single tiny hinge and probably snapped in place when it was new; presently it will not stay closed. The stopper is rough glass with a clear glass handle. The hole where it fits is gummed up with green corrosion. There is dirt on the inside of the bottle, some black and some dark red. How this came to be with the bank's material is a mystery.Collection
