The back of this photo has a label stating that the woman in this photograph is Helen (Dale) Pickersgill-Cunliffe but it seems to be a mistake. The year given is 1872 and at that point Helen (Dale) was much older than the lady presented in this picture. Helen (Dale) had a daughter named Helen as well and her daughter's age more properly fits the year this was taken. Helen is not present in the group photo of her mother and her other sisters but she is mentioned on the back of that photograph.
This photograph is a professional full-body shot of Helen. She is seen here with a dark button-up dress with a hem that very much flows outward. She is resting against a seat with her arm on the top of it. Unfortunately, there is no indication as to who or where the photo was taken.Collection
