Description

These are four different editorials that Hope photocopied with each having a small tab with a bit of information in the top left corner of the page. The tab has the type of editorial, volume number, page number and date. Charles H. Guyther is notable for being involved with major census fraud during the 1900 census. The first editorial is titled "In Full Blast" and is about Charles H. Guyther contacting F. M. Dyer Esq. over the sale of a patent called "Wind-Mill". It was apparently a wind powered engine and the editorial was dated to January 7th, 1886. The second editorial is titled "Masked Ball and Supper" and is about an event at Piney Point Hotel for the benefit of St. George's Church. Charles was one of the people managing the event. The editorial itself is from February 25th, 1886. The third editorial is a simple marriage announcement between Joseph Travers to Mary Guyther. The editorial was dated to December 18th, 1873. The last editorial consists of a list of newly registered voters with Charles H. Guyther being on the list. It is dated to October 18th, 1877.
