Description

Dark brown wood plaque with two brass panels, one above the other. The top panel begins 5/8" from the top edge and 1 3/4" from the left edge of the display surface. It is 11 1/2" long and 2" high, engraved with ARTHUR "BUCK" BRISCOE. 7/8" below this panel is the second one: 1 1/2" long and 5" high. It is engraved with is presented a special commendation for his voluntary service and leadership in improving the economic development program of St. Mary's County, Maryland presented: June 13, 1985 on behalf of the citizens of St. Mary's County by the Board of County Commissioners There is 1/2" to the lower edge of the display surface. On each side of the panels is a 4 1/2" Olympic style torch with flames and a bow halfway up the handle of each torch.
