Political rally at Porto BelloEntry/Object ID
1995.001.1717Description
No information was provided about this sepia-tone 6 5/8"h x 9 1/2"w photo of a large group of men posed in front of a house with a large dormer and a screened porch that may be Porto Bello. In the second row, in front of the door to the porch is a lone woman. A small girl is in front of her and there is another girl off to the right. Most of the men are holding extremely long-stemmed white clay pipes. A flag flies from a support on the porch roof and is in motion in the photo. I am fairly sure this is a political rally; it may be for J. Allan Coad who eventually was a member of the Maryland Senate.
