Black and white 3 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w photo of Porto Bello on St. Mary's River near Drayden. This view shows the gable end of the two story main house, a two story addition and a tiny piece of another addition. The main house has a gambrel roof with what looks like a pair of interior chimneys on the near end; the opposite chimneys may be outside ends. One dormer is visible at the break in the roofline. There is one window in the gable end on the second floor that appears to be two over nine. A shed roof covers a porch that appears to run the entire length of the first floor of the house. The end of the roof is closed. There is a railing around the entire porch and there appear to be three porch bays open and two screened. It appears there are two windows with shutters and a central door to the house on the open part of the porch, but it is difficult to see from this angle. On the gable end, right at the corner, there is a french window with a screen. The addition has a gable roof and then, on the long wall, another eave built out a couple of feet below the gutter. It seems to be a little protection for the windows underneath. On the gable end there is a single window near the corner that may be a four over four double hung window. On the long wall there are two six over six double hung windows and then two smaller, narrower windows close to the main house. On the first floor, next to the main house there is a door with a screen door and a window to its left. Then the wall is set back under the upper floor to create a portico supported by two posts. There are two windows in this space. The barely visible addition may have a gambrel roof.
